Where'd it all start?
I was a high school athlete. I had success in basketball and track. Once high school sports were over I started taking classes at a local MMA gym. I was getting destroyed on the mats so I decided to start researching how to strength train. In my small town, there was no gym so I started lifting with some old adjustable dumbbells and bench in my basement. That was 13 years ago and I haven’t stopped.
In that time, I started personal training in 2011. I grew a passion for not just getting myself in great shape, but helping others achieve their goals and become healthier and happier. I started online coaching in 2016 and haven’t looked back!
What got me into competing and coaching?
My personal journey has been filled ups and downs. I served in the United States Army from 2013-2017. My time in service included a deployment to Afghanistan on a personal security team. I also spent time as a combative’s instructor.
In 2018, I did my first Men’s Physique competition with a first place finish in Men’s True Novice. The following year I competed in the Alphalete Summer Shredding Classic with a second place finish in a stacked class.
2020 was a rough year for me. I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I prioritized training through my treatment and credit being in great shape to my speedy recovery.
I love working with competitors or average Jo’s alike. I want to help you get in the best shape of your life!
