Josh Kreifels

I was born and raised in a small town outside of Seattle, Washington. I began playing sports at the age of 5 and continued as a multisport varsity athlete through high school.

After one year of college baseball, I transitioned into competitive bodybuilding. I quickly realized that my motivating factor to pursue a career in the medical field was focused around nutrition and total body wellness.

What's my background?

I completed my Bachelors Degree in Biology at Western Washington University and received my Masters Degree in Nutrition at Bastyr University. I am nationally Registered Dietitian, which equips me with a comprehensive understanding of nutrition and the human body.

During my Dietetic Internship at the University of Houston I worked with high school athletes, Division 1 athletes and competitive endurance athletes at the Ironman Sports Medicine Institute.

I have been working as a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer for the last four years where I served as a Master Trainer at a corporate gym as well as private training.

I am also a certified sports nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition and have  been coaching lifestyle clients online for the last four years. I believe in leading by example, and teaching people how to eat to fuel their bodies rather than utilizing strict diet structures.

My Mission

The goal is to empower my clients with the skills to make their diet a lifestyle. Sustainability is a driving force for my coaching because I want my clients to be able to eat in a way that accommodates their goals, physical needs, and lifestyle.

I emphasize that fad diets may work in the short term, but the most important thing to decide is if the diet is going to be feasible and enjoyable for the long term.

I spent three years working in a family-owned supplement store where I molded my passion for natural approaches to health promotion and disease prevention. I believe in the healing power of food.

My graduate work has equipped me with the knowledge to understand the biochemical metabolism of food into functional healing and performance.

In addition to food and fitness, I focus on variables such as sleep, stress, supplementation, and mindset to get the most out of my clients physically, mentally, and hormonally.

I am eager to help sift through the dense information available surrounding nutrition in order to help you establish a health-promoting lifestyle. I encourage my clients to ASK me questions to maximize their learning they can out of my time with them!
